The first time I ever came across removable wall decals, from a little company called Blik, I thought they were some of the coolest things I'd ever seen. The removable designs look like murals or wallpaper, but since they are easy to apply and peel off, they're great for apartment-dwellers and the indecisive.
Now, wall decals are surfacing all over the shelter world, in more forms than I could have ever imagined.

As part of our Best of 2007 polls, I want to know what's your favorite way to dress your walls. There are plenty of trends in wall décor these days, like sunburst mirrors and branches, and there are the old standbys like paintings and mirrors. I love it when people get creative and hang things that aren't traditionally found on a wall, like the old L.L.

Growing up I was always interested in decorating, but I had a fleeting sense of style that changed as frequently as my taste in food. My parents let me choose my décor, which I loved. If you read my slideshow on how to decorate on the cheap with pretty plates, you might be feeling inspired to hang some in your own home. Before you get started, there are a few steps you should learn, so you don't wind up with shattered materials for a mosaic instead. While you can just hang a trio evenly spaced on a wall, you'll make more of a statement if you group them in a more unique arrangement.

I usually don't like products categorized as "wall decor" because I feel like they're equivalent to the mass-produced artwork you can buy at major inexpensive retail stores. They are by no means original, and your friends might recognize them from aisle #9, where they bought toilet paper in bulk
That said, these Black & White Pattern Plaques ($89) from Ballard Design are changing my mind—or at the very least proving themselves to be the exception to my rule. In this case, I like "wall decor," and I like them enough to share.

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member Michellica (who created this Lovely Little Vignette) from the Su Casa group:
